WHY SENSORY PLAYGROUNDS?

Elia and Zacharie are fraternal twins born in New York in 2012. Elia attends a local school while Zacharie is at a school for children with special needs. He was born with multiple handicaps. His special needs made us aware of the difficulties that families face trying to share simple moments together because of motor and cognitive differences. The discovery of multi-sensory rooms often present in schools for children with special needs made us realise that the physically and mentally challenged world had much to teach society as a whole.

Our Play Spaces offer an immersive journey through a digital and sensory playground, in order to spark creativity and curiosity, and to foster meaningful interactions between kids and their families.

Elia et Zacharie sont jumeaux. Ils sont nés à New York en 2012. Elia sait lire et écrire, et Zacharie est dans une école spécialisée, il est polyhandicapé. De par ses différences, il nous a fait prendre conscience des difficultés que l’on pouvait avoir à vivre et à partager des moments simples tous ensembles indépendamment de nos facultés cognitives et de notre motricité. La découverte des espaces multisensoriels fréquemment présents au sein des écoles spécialisées nous a fait réaliser que le monde du handicap avait beaucoup à apporter à la société.

It is Now réunit des artistes qui créent des espaces de jeux multi-sensoriels favorisant l’inclusion des enfants en situation de handicap. Ces espaces offrent un voyage immersif grâce à l’Art numérique en suscitant instantanément créativité, curiosité et  interactions.
